“I learnt a lot from Chef Geussepie Geraci. The food prepared was simple, artistic, colorful and the plaiting was on another level“.
I am a culinary student passionate on the craft of cookery and on behalf of the student body of Kenya Utalii College, I would like to thank Italy as a country through their Embassy for allowing our institution to  be part of the Master chef’s class taught by Chef Giuseppe Geraci during the International Week of The Italian Cuisine – Culinary Clinic at Kenya Utalii College.
We got to learn about what happens behind the closed doors of an Italian fine dinning establishment. Two days is a short time , but we got to learn a lot theoretically and practically about the basics of Italian cuisine. This is a foundation that will withstand the test of times. I am looking forward to learn more about the Italian Cuisine.
It is an honor to have met such an icon who is definitely making a bold statement in the industry by doing his best and passing down the knowledge to me and my fellow classmates. He is a gem and one of the best chef’s Italy has to offer.
I learnt a lot from the Chef. The food prepared was simple, artistic, colorful and the plating was on another level, and we were taught to make use of the leftovers – Chef Geraci reminded us to use our five senses and always add the sixth sense. It is such an unforgettable experience.
I would like to thank The Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Italy Nairobi, Ms. Lorenza Gambacorta for her presence and the opportunity and for all that she has done , and what she is doing to make Kenya’s hospitality Industry better. Food is a love language that cuts across all tribe and races.
The Culinary Clinic will enhance the students’ appreciation of the unique techniques and taste of food from Italy. This clinic will further enhance the students learning of international cuisine of which Italian is key.
